creased from nin eteen in 1892 to one
h u n d red and tw e n ty -tw o in 1908. He
show ed in som e d etail how the Y. M.
C. A., at first n ot a considerable factor
in the life of the

irrown to be its m ost representative
body. He show ed the need for w ork
ers w hich h as com e w ith the increased
m em bership and activ ity of the associ
ation, and u rg ed his h earers to throw
th em selves in to avenues of unselfish
effort alo n g the lines of Y. M. C. A.
work.
