In choosing our life call-, ings, we should consult God, and take him into o u r plans, carry in g out those I plans only u n d er his guidance and d i rection. T h u s do we attain the la r g - j est success and happiness. lie gave as the th ree essentials for success in life, (1) the pow er to d is cern betw een rig h t and w ro n g ; (2) the desire to do the rig h t, and (3) the love of the rig h t, th at we m ay desire t o do it. H e told w hat P resident R< >se-1 velt once said to him. T h a t if right and w ro n g were a m atter of black and w hite, at w ould not be hard to d is - 1 tin g u ish betw een them , and th u s con trasted , one would n atu ra lly prefer and choose the rig h t. Put as it is right and w rong are so blended and inter-m ixed that they form often in d istinguishable shades of g ra y and so it is a difficult m atter to seg reg ate the right and to act in accordance with the very best.
