Fred Motillen, captain-elect of the football eleven, was in Portland dur ing the greater part of the holidays. While there he refereed the Spokane- Multnomah and St. Louis-M ultnomah games. Fred is a recognized author ity on football and as an official gives general satisfaction. The next inter-class, cross-country tryout wil not be held on Jan. 11 as previously announced, but cometime in the early part of February. The Portland Journal announces that Dan Kelly.
