General Council (GC) Delegate Information: ■ Every local is allowed at least one (1) General Council delegate. The chart indicates how many delegates each local is allowed (# GC Dels). For some locals, an officer(s) may be considered an "automatic" GC Delegate by virtue of the responsibilities outlined in a local's Constitution & Bylaws. You will see a "Y" in the "Auto GC Del" column when an officer also serves as General Council Delegate. Your local will elect the number of General Council delegates listed minus any "automatic" delegates. Each local is allowed one (1) alternate GC delegate for every two (2) delegate slots. GC Delegate slots are filled first by "automatic" delegates, then by members in the order of highest number of votes received; GC Alternates Delegates are listed in the order of votes received and will be moved up should a delegate slot become available. Bargaining Delegate Information: Many SEIU locals elect bargaining delegates during this election cycle. If your local will be electing Bargaining Delegates, you will see the number of delegates allowed in the column titled "# Barg Dels." ■ For some locals, an officer(s) may also be considered an "automatic" Bargaining Delegate by virtue of the responsibilities outlined in a local's Constitution & Bylaws.
