V E T E R A N S A F F A IR S CHAPTER No. 50 Veterans Affairs Chapter No. 50, OSEA, named E. Guy Cook President for 1951 at its annual election in Jan- uary. Mr. Cook, last year’s Vice-presi dent,’"„and loan officer in the Salem office of the Department of Veterans Affairs', succeeds Lester L. Moser, Postland office’s property appraiser. F l o r e n c e Neavoll, Salem office stenographer, was elected Secretary- Treasurer succeeding Marilyn Rans- dell, Portland office stenographer. Vice-president this year will, be Joseph Yazzolino, Portland loan officer. Mr. Moser, outgoing pres ent, ex pressed his appreciation to Gene Sch midt, headquarters staff of OSEA, and to Jack Norton, District No. 1 Direct or, for th eir assistance last M arch in organizing the Veterans Chapter. The Chapter has grown to a. mem bership of 48 in less than H years time, now representing ,65 per cent of the employees in the Salem and Portland offices of the Veterans Department. Our Chapter was among the first to qualify for the new OSEA .group life insurance plan. Leonard J. Popma, Jr., .collections officer in the Salem office, was nam ed 1951 m em bership D irector for OSEA at the Novem ber m eeting of the Gen eral Council.
