Hood the Tilly Jane area provides one rope tow, snow cat transportation on weekends, supplemented Jby one public shelter, a ski sheljer/with cooking and dormitory facilities. Parking is available for 150 cars at Cooper Spur. Government Camp offers parking for 2,500 cars, lodging, meals, ski club and family cabins on private lands. An aerial tramway, three, and one-half miles long with a lift of 2^500 feet, is under construction but will not be ready for the 1948149 season. Govern- ment Camp is a central location for the sknjKncasj inffilhat general vicinity and has a lW B iu m b e r of accommodations including lodges, hotels, restaurants, ski shops and other establishments. One of the more recently developed ski areasds located at A nthony Takes in W hitman National Forest at an eleva tion of 7000 feet in the Blue mountains of eastern Oregon,¿ ’20 miles off U.S. Highway 30 near Baker. A cafeteria style dining room, a store and three rope tows are in operation. The latter are from 600 to 2000 feet in length with lifts from 75 to 450 feet.
