wick, has been all tied up with some
Oregon State Board of Health red tape.
It seems that "Ike” needs proof of
birth and enlisted the aid of George
Leonetti of Portland as hi's special emis
sary. and cooperator. George obliged
by getting the required forms, Exhib
its "X ’’, "A ”, "B”, and "C ”, and sent
them to Ike with careful instructions.
The procedure is not clear, but we
gather that if one Cain possibly com
plete F o rm s"X ” and "A ”, he is per-
mitted to take some liberties in an
swering "B”, and then, if one’s patience
holds out, it may be possible to com
plete required Form "G ” to the point
marked "X ”. George suggests that peo
ple in need of proof of birth, as re
quired by the Retirement Board, will
live, longer and--suffer less if they re
sort to ;certified school records or other
acceptable evidence.^ — S. C. Huston

Some of the slender ones appear to stow
