Chairman's Report From Delores Pfgsley programs. With the establishment of Chinook Winds and the Dance House, which we celebrate this month, we have proven to the world and to ourselves how the Siletz Tribe has successfully balanced economic progress on the one hand and preserved our spiritual values on the other. Both are essential to the strength and future of our Tribe. Both have given new life to the meaning of the words "Siletz Restoration". Ralene Butler to Fill Vacant Gaming Commissioner Seat Ralene Butler was among thirty- five candidates who competed for the tribal Gaming Commission position, surviving two rounds of interviews and a tough questionnaire. Ralene will serve as Gaming Commissioner for a three year term effective July 1st. As a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law, Ralene is expected to contribute importantly to the regulatory functions of the Gaming Commission. Construction of the Permanent Facility on Target Kudos to Andy McCord of PCL and his construction crew for what is an absolutely wonderful job! They have pulled it off! Chinook Winds will be completed on target! And to think the steel that supports this imposing structure wasn't fabricated and installed until just six months ago!
