RESOLUTION 94-017 SUBJECT: A tto rn e y B illin g THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves the Tribal Attorney's December billing. RESOLUTION 94-018 SUBJECT: FY 94 Indirect Cost Pool Budget W H E R E A S , the Adm inistrative Manager submitted the Indirect Cost Pool Budget for approval; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal'Council hereby approves the FY 94 Indirect Cost Pool Budget, excluding the designated indirect cost rate percentage. RESOLUTION 94-019 SUBJECT: H ousing A u th o rity Commission W H ER EAS, the Siletz Tribal Council received and reviewed the Siletz Housing A u th o rity C om m ission C om m ittee information; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves Lisa Norton to be on the Siletz Housing Authority Commission Committee. RESOLUTION 94-020 SUBJECT: H is to ric P re se rva tio n G rant W HEREAS, the protection of ritualistic sites of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, through tribal management, continues to be a priority for the Siletz Tribe; and W H ER EAS, the Departm ent of Interior, National Park Service has funding available through competitive grants for Indian Tribes for Historic Preservation Grants; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby authorized the Education Manager to prepare and submit a grant application for the Historic Preservation Grants to Indian Tribes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tribal Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Chief Executive Officer are authorized to sign the application. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Tribal Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Chief Executive O fficer are authorized to negotiate the grant and any amendments or modifications thereto. RESOLUTION 94-021 SUBJECT: ONABEN W H ER EAS, the Siletz Tribal Council received and reviewed information regarding the funding of the SBA/Cascadé West Microloan program; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves to pay $5,000.00 to ONABEN for the Cascade West Microloan program; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that STEDCO agrees to pay an additional $5,000.00 to ONABEN for the Cascade West Microloan program. RESOLUTION 94-022 SUBJECT: E n ro llm e n t WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council received and reviewed information regarding the Enrollment position and it's supervision; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves that the Enrollment position be supervised by the Administrative Manager, Sharon Edenfield. RESOLUTION 94-023 SUBJECT: USDA N u tritio n a l Education G rant 1994 W HEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council desires to provide food and nutrition services to it's tribal members; and W H ER E AS , the Siletz Tribe operates a Food Distribution Program through United States Department of Agriculture; and, W H E R E A S , the USDA, Food and Nutrition Service, has funding available for Nutrition Education Grants for Indian Tribes; and W HEREAS, the Siletz Tribe desires to provide Nutritional Education Services to it's clients; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz T ribal Council hereby authorizes submission of a grant application to United States Department of Agriculture for a Nutritional Education Grant. C o n tra ct WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council received and reviewed the Ducheneaux, Taylor & Associâtes (1) year contract; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves the (1) year contract with Ducheneaux, Taylor & Associates. February 23-25. General Assistance Program The General Assistance Program is intended to meet certain specific unmet needs of Siletz Tribal Members. This program is not designed to be long-term program for participants. Below are the basic eligibility guidelines for the General Assistance Program (GA): 1. Siletz Tribal Member. 2. Reside in the Tribal Service Area. 3. Cannot be eligible for state, local or other agency resources. 4. Meet Income guidelines. All G.A. applications are required to go through an orientation on the General Assistance Program. E lection s W a lt K lam ath, Representative E le ctio n Board S ta ff Now that the elections are over for this year things can almost return to normal, however that may be. We have received 9 ballots since the polls closed. The last one received was in March. The phones have not been ringing off the hooks with Tribal members wishing to serve on the Election Board and especially the Staff Representative position. All it takes is a phone call, and the rest will be an interesting experience coupled with a lot of fun, meeting and talking with many good Tribal members all over the continental United States and elsewhere, maybe even in Siletz. In all seriousness we need Tribal members to apply for this all important Board, ft is so very important, I believe, that all Members vote in the elections. Sometimes one vote will make all the difference in the world. Each vote counts. In just a very short time, we will be gearing up for the next Council Election. Time whizes by so very fast. As the old saying goes, "Enjoy yourself, it is later than you think". The point is, get involved, apply for a position on the Election Board. I V vV
