WHEREAS, . Ralene Butler applied for the A ssistant CEO position with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Oregon; and WHEREAS, the Assistant CEO position . required certain minimum qualifications that must be met by applicants; and WHEREAS, an Interview Committee made up of Siletz Tribal Council members agreed that based on criteria, Ralene Butler did not meet the minimum qualifications; and WHEREAS, Ralene Butler filed an appeal of the decision of the Interview Committee; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council agrees that Ralene Butler was not entitled to an interview for this position. Ralene Butler's appeal of the decision that she did not meet the minimum qualifications for the position of Assistant CEO is hereby denied. RESOLUTION #93-89, 9 3-90A , 9 3 -9 0 B , 93-90C S u b je c t: E n ro llm e n t 6 persons accepted for enrollment 3 name changes approved RESOLUTION # 9 3 - 1 0 6 S u b je c t: F orest M anagem ent Plan WHEREAS, the Tribal Forestry staff have prepared and the Tribal Council has reviewed a forest management plan covering the 10 year period from 1986 -1995; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves the 1986-1995 Siletz Reservation Forest Management Plan. RESOLUTION # 9 3 - 1 0 7 S ubject: M ill Creek Road Use A greem ent and C u ttin g P erm it WHEREAS, G eorgia-P acific C orporation has requested a road use agreement with the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians for reconstruction and use of a road through the Tribe's Mill Creek Conversion tract and for use of a road through the Tribe's Mill Creek tract; and WHEREAS, G eorgia-P acific C orporation has requested a road use agreement and timber cutting permit for construction of a new road through the Tribe's Mill Creek tract which will entail the cutting of a small amount of Tribal timber; and WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council has ID reviewed the T ribal Forester's recommendations regarding road use fees, payment for land taken out of production and decking of the Tribal timber for use as firewood; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Tribal Forester is authorized to proceed with the issuance of road use agreement documents for the above tracts; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bureau of Indian Affairs is authorized to proceed with the issuance of a timber cutting permit for the cutting and decking of Tribally-owned timber located within the SW1/4 NE1/4 of Section 27, Township 9 South, Range 9 West of the Willamette Meridian, Oregon; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tribal Chairman is authorized to execute the necessary road use agreement and timber cutting permit documents. RESOLUTION #93-114 S u b je ct: Gam ing O rdinance R evisions WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Gaming Ordinance has been revised to meet the present standards of the National Indian Gaming Association; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves the revised Siletz Tribal Gaming Ordinance. RESOLUTIONS #93-116 th ru #93-119 S u b je c t: E n ro llm e n t One name change approved, two deceased removed from Tribal Roll, one relinquishment granted, one enrollment application rejected. RESOLUTION #93-120 S u b je c t: Head S ta rt M o d u la r C la ss Room WHEREAS, the Department of Health & Human Services, Head Start Bureau, American Indian Program Branch, has indicated that the Tribe will not be funded to continue the delegate agency agreement with Family Head Start, and WHEREAS, the Tribe is exploring options to . deliver Tribal Head Start services in the Salem area, now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Sieltz Tribal Council approves the submission of an application to the Department of Health & Human Services, Head Start Bureau, American Indian Program Branch (AIPB), to purchase a classroom modular, cover costs of siting the modular, and purchase of classroom equipment. Council understands that this is a contingency plan as we explore facility options in the Salem area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tribal Council Chairman is authorized to sign the application and execute appropriate agreements thereto. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that necessary modifications be processed and signed by the Tribal Council Chairman or Vice- Chairman or Chief Executive Officer.
