RESOLUTION #93-022 Subject: Health Budget WHEREAS, the Siletz Community Health Clinic submitted a Third Party Collections Budget for Council review; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal C ouncil hereby approves, the Third Party Collections Budget for the Siletz Community Health Clinic. RESOLUTION #93-023 Subject: Commission on Indian Services Appointm ent WHEREAS, the Tribal Council desires representatlpn on the Commission on Indian Services Board; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby appoints Bensell Breon as Tribal Representative on the Commission on Indian Services Board. RESOLUTION #93-024 Subject: Physicians Service Agreement for 1993 WHEREAS, the Health Director presented the Physicians Service Agreement for 1993 to the Tribal Council for review; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves the attached Physicians Service Agreement for 1993. 1 1 Z 2 2 /9 2 RESOLUTION #93-025 Subject: Law Enforcement Task Force A ppointm ent. WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council desires to participate In the Siletz Community’s Law Enforcement Task Force; now THEREFORE BE IT, RESOLVED, that the Siletz T ribal Council hereby approves participation In the Law Enforcement Task Force. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council appoints Mike Darcy as Tribal Representative to this Task Force. RESOLUTION #93-026 Subject: Am erican Indian Religious Freedom Bill WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council has reviewed the American Indian Religious Freedom Bill; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz . Tribal Council hereby supports the American Indian Religious Freedom Bill. RESOLUTIONS #93-027 - 93-030 Subject: Enrollment 7 persons approved for enrollment; 2 name changes approved; 3 deceased removed from the Tribal roll. RESOLUTION #93-031 S ubject: G rant Proposal - Legal Fees, S o lic ito rs General WHEREAS, the Interdisciplinary Team has submitted a budget to cover costs of legal fees, expert witness fees and le g a l research; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves submission of a grant proposal to the Solicitors General Office to cover costs of legal fees, expert witness fees and legal research regarding tribal water rights. RESOLUTION #93-032 Subject: Long-Tom Road Permit WHEREAS, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians are desirous of sustaining a continued flow in income through sales of Trlbally-owned timber; and WHEREAS, Georgia-Pacific Corporation has requested a road use agreement with the Tribe for Improvement and use of a road through the Tribe's Long-Tom parcel which will entalLthe cutting of a small amount of Tribal timber; and WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council has review ed the T ribal Forester's recommended stumpage rate for the timber to be sold to Georgia-Pacific; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Bureau of Indian Affairs is authorized to proceed with the sale of Trlbally-owned timber located along the road right-of-way located within Lot 5 of Section 13, Township 10 South, Range 10 West of the Willamette Meridian, Oregon, and the sale name to be "Long-Tom Road Permit"; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Long-Tom Road Permit be offered for sale at the lump sum stumpage rate of $2,127.92 and that the Tribal Chairman be authorized to execute the necessary timber permit documents; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Long-Tom Road Permit be offered for sale to Georgia-Pacific Corporation. RESOLUTION # 93-033 S ubject: FY 93/94 Head Start WHEREAS, the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, has funding available through the American Indian Programs Branch for tribal Head Start programs; and WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribe desires to continue offering Head Start services .to Native Am erican children through their- exlstlng Head Start Program; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves submission of a grant application to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, American Iridian Programs Branch for program year 1993-94. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tribal Chairman or Vice-Chairm an are authorized to sign the .application. BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Tribal Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Chief Executive Officer are authorized to sign . any modifications thereto. RESOLUTION #93-034 Subject: Attorney Fees WHEREAS, a billing for Attorney Fees for the month of November, 1992 has been received and reviewed by the Tribal Council; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves payment of the November, 1992, Attorney Fees bill. RESOLUTION #93-035 Subject: Indian Child Welfare 1 adoption approved. RESOLUTION #93-036 Subject: Personnel WHEREAS, the Tribal Council Secretary position is currently rated at a GS-6 level; and WHEREAS, the Tribal Council believes that due to the responsibilities and duties of the Tribal Council Secretary position, It should be increased to a GS-7 rating; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby approves changing the Tribal Council Secretary position to a rating of GS-7. RESOLUTION #93-037 Subject: Personnel WHEREAS, the Personnel Officer Is currently supervised by the Chief Executive Officer; and WHEREAS, the Siletz Tribal Council believes the position should answer directly to the Tribal Council; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz T rib a l C ouncil hereby moves supervision of the Personnel Officer directly under the Tribal Council, effective Immediately. RESOLUTION #93-038 Subject: Education Committee WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Siletz Tribal Education Committee; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby appoints Laurie Brown-G odfrey to the Education Committee. 1 2 /1 6 /9 2 RESOLUTION # 93-039 Subject: Election Board WHEREAS, changes need to be made to the Election Board; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council, hereby appoints Lori Johnson, Lisa Norton and Richard Leaton to the Election Board. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby excuses Allison Simmons and Elouise Case from the Board. RESOLUTION #93-040 S u b je c t: N a tio n a l In d ian Gam ing A ssociation WHEREAS, Siletz Tribal Council desires to belong to the National Indian Gaming Association; now THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siletz Tribal Council hereby appoints Jessie Davis as Tribal Council Representative to the National Indian Gaming Association. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Siletz Tribal Cduncil hereby directs payments of annual dues to accompany the previous
