CARDS The I.D. machine will be at the Area Offices at the following times Position Title: Forester Salary: $19,072 - $20,026 Minimum Requirements: B.S. Degree in Forest Management, Forest Science, or Forest Engineering. Two years experience in forestry, w ith at least one year in silviculture and reforestation. Be in good physical condition and be able to work in all weather conditions. Experience/knowledge in cruis ing and appraisal of tim ber for sale; western Oregon silviculture, including silvics, vegetation management and forest economics. Possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license. A bility to speak/write ef fectively, to use good judgem ent w ith independant ac tion, and to w ork well w ith others. Duties: Assist w ith development of presales packages for tim ber sales, including logging setting design, road layout, timber cruises, tim ber sale ap praisal, Environmental Assessments, tim ber sale con tracts, and road licensing agreeements. Develop silvi cultural prescriptions for logging and stand conversion units, forest development and plantation maintenance projects. Oversee all reforestation and plantation main tenance activities, including site preparation, seedling acquisition, planting, and vegetation management. Frank Rilatos won first prize for best costume; Jessica Rilatos came in second & Troy Olaphan third. Everyone from 8 months to 50years old totally enjoyed themselves. We felt proud that we pro vided entertainment in Siletz. Another dance is planned for Sat., June 13th, 8-11 P.M., so m ark your calenders now!
