BONELESS HAM $1.39/lb Bernard Tronson Funeral services for Bernard g Tronson, 69 year old resident of | Vernonia for the past 23 years, were | held Tuesday April 14 at 11 am at the H Fuiten Mortuary Chapel in Vernonia. The Rev. Russell Vinyard, pastor of B the Vernonia Christian Church, conducted the services with concluding rites and interment following at the Willamette National I Cemetery in Portland. Mr. Tronson died April 10 at his home in Vernonia following an extended period of poor health. Bernard Ernest Tronson was born atx Valier, Montana on January 8, r 1912, the son of Adolph and Olga ~ Norsby Tronson. He spent most of his early life in the Valier, Montana area end after receiving his education he farmed with his father. He joined the U.S. Army Air Force and served during World War II. He was married at Valier on September 18, 1946 to Marie Farmer Webb and they moved to Missoula and later to Arlee and Trout Creek, Montana where he worked on dam construction until 1958. He moved his family to Vernonia in 1958 and worked several years for the railroad and then Stevens Rock Products and later for the Green Thumb program. Mr. Tronson was a former member of the Norwegian Luther Church, the IOOF Lodge, being a charter member of the Conrad Montana Lodge; the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. His wife preceded him in death here in 1971. Surviving are six children; Richard and Tommy Tronson, both of Vernonia; Mrs. Joseph (Margy) Mergel, Canton, Ohio; Mrs. Harold (Linda) Fohl, Kailua, Hawaii; Mr. Billy (Ray) Webb and Mrs. Ed (Nelda) Billings, both of Portland; and two sisters, Mrs. James (Margie) Geiger • and Mrs. William (Gertrude) VandenBos, both of Valier, Montana. 12 grandchildren also survive. 554 beg .
