Lucene Hansen 429-2355 JEWELL NEWS Quilt blocks ready for Nehalem Valley Folk Art Festival by Ruth Nogle Mrs. Sandi Whiteman now has the quilt blocks ready for anyone who would like to take some to complete for the Nehalem Valley Folk Art Festival quilt. You can reach her at 755-2723. Come on singers, more voices are needed for the group forming on Thursday evenings at the Jewell School, at 7 pm. A piano player is also needed. You don’t need to be a professional singer to join the group, you just need a love of singing, so come lift your voice in song. The Nehalem Valley Community Church invites all ladies to come join their Bible Study class. The group meets every Thursday morning at 10:30 am at the church. A three day convention was enjoyed last week by the pastor of the Nehalem Valley Community Church and his wife. Rev. Richard Casad and wife Sandi drove to Sequin, Washington to attend a seminar of evening at the convention. Independent Fundamental Churches of America. Over 200 pastors and wives attended the retreat and enjoyed the speakers presented for both the ladies and gentlemen.
