The class start s at 7 pm. Did you receive a micro-wave oven from Santa Claus? A school is being planned to help you get full use from it. News will be in next week’s column so watch for it. If you like to sing come out Thursday evenings to the multi purpose room. Chorus practice will be held every Thursday and you don’t have to be a “pro” to enjoy this group. Newcomers are welcome, so come and sing along. Monday and Wednesday nights at 6 pm classes will be held for GED or high school completion. These classes are free and more information can be had by calling 755-2385. The open shop night has been changed to Tuesday nights from 6 pm to 9 pm and if you would like to become involved in the Annual Folk Festival call Steve Whiteman at 755- 2723. If there are any golfers out there or you would like to. become golfers in the Jewell area call either Ruth Nogle at 755-2241 or Pat Samuelson at 755- 2214. It would be nice for a group to get together for some good exercise. The Jewell Community School has announced they will show movies on the last Saturday night of each month. Kennedy JEWELL NEWS by Ruth Nogle February 6 and 10 are set as the next games for the Jewell Bluejays basketball teams. On Feb. 6 they will be hosting Valsetz, and on Feb. 10, Oregon State School of the Deaf (OSSD). Only two games will be played with Valsetz. The JV’s will play at 4 pm and the Varsity at 5:30 pm.
