A. Lachance. We had a very enjoy able time looking inside at many photos and inspecting the possi bility outside in putting in a dam for generating electricity for light and irrigation by the upper Y’amhill river. The Reverend had supper by invitation from Mr. and Mrs. J a s p e r Boystron. dedicating their fine new house. Jerry Winslow has been vaca tioning with his grandmother. Mrs. Annetta Vaughn. School commences in Portland n e x t week. He is being taken to Port land for his school year. My son Fred has leased his house at Lawndale, California, for a term of a year or two, and with his family is now living at Grass Valley. California to be near his children, Radina Tucker and Naomi Petersen. M. Petersen and the M.E. min ister of Bay Pine Barrack U.S.V. Home, is working again, taking care of the sick and crippled veterans, at half pay. The heaviest logs are being hauled by my place. Wayer- houser had the largest, over 3 hundred years old.
