EAST CHEEK NEWS Elven Pelkey is visiting his sister in Rickreall. I F of last week and while in the city his car collided with another. It has been widely rumored the accident was ser ious, but first-hand information is to the effect that no one was hurt and both cars were fully covered by in surance. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Smith and son James moved here Sunday from Ver nonia. They are living in the Ker shaw house vacated by the Surgeon family who moved to their new home near by. Mr. Smith works at Foster mill and James has a position in the postoffice here. The Missionary society of the Free Methodist church will meet on Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Edith Bailey for their annual Christmas gathering. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Olmstead and her father, George Schoppert, spent Sunday at the home of Fred’s bro ther and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Olmstead at I>allas. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Groff of Otter Rock visited at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Adah Hudson last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Morgan and Robley visited friends and relatives at Newberg Sunday. Mrs. Elmer R. Worth, Mrs. Geo. Londerhausen and Mrs. Henry R Welch of McMinnville were guests of Mrs. H. A. Parrett last Wednes day afternoon. Mrs. G. M.
