FENDALL DISTRICT _____ The Rogers-Fendall-Sitton reunion will be held Sunday. July 16. at the usual place with a potluck lunch. Paper plates, ice cream dishes, coffee, ci earn and sugar will be furnished. Mrs. Win. Fowler of the C orbett acreage suffered a broken back in a fall from a load of hay last Thursday evening. She was taken to a McMinn* ville hospital where she is vesting as well as can be expected. Mrs. Fowler is the' m other of two small children. Mrs. Frank Schwab cared for the children until Sunday when they were taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elton Booth in McMinnville. About 75 attended the reunion of the Brown clan at the Buell park Sun day. These are descendants of Janies H. and Sophia W. Brown who came to Oregon in 1850. Mrs. Mary S. Churchill of Portland was the oldest one th ere and Claude Edward Brown, small son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brown of Sheridan was the youngest. Edson Savage of Pasco came the longest distance to be present. Mr. and M-s. Austin Savage. Mrs. Lottie Dameron, Jack Fendall and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnston and their small grandson of Seaside attended the Brown reunion Sunday. Mr. and Mis. Elmer Dawes of Portland were Saturday n ;ght visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Savage. Mrs. Fritz Steggeman has an in fected finger caused by a blackberry briar. Mrs. Ward Mendenhall gave a din ner Tuesdav evening in honor of the birthday of'M r. Mendenhall. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Fendall were guests. It was also the second anniversary of their marriage. Mrs. Lottie Dameron is visiting at the home of her sister. Mrs. Fred Johnston. Mrs. J. C. Schafer, another sister, of Depoe Bay was an overnight guest Friday. Mrs. Eldon Fendall gave a birthday party on Wednesday to celebrate the four h birthday of her son David. Guests were El'.nor Mendenhall. Bob by Unicome, Lawrence Mendenhall, Rannv Blackwell, Sharon. Carol and Bobby Blackwell, Alan Johnston and most of the m others of the children. W ard Mendenhall has completed the harvesting of his straw berries and is now taking care of his early peaches. He also has loganberries and boysenberries. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Townsend and son Jean and friend of Timber, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. E rnest Semjkel and ♦ daughter, Donna June of Keasy, Ore.. Miss Hazel King of Gaston and Mrs. Chas. H aenny were callers at the home of Mrs. Mollie llaenny and Klauck Bros. F ourth o f July callers her ■ were Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Taylor and sons. Harold ami Bobbie of Salt Creek and Sam Taylor of Independence. Mr. and Mrs. David Fredrickson and daughters. Dorothy. Virginia, Betty Jean and Phyllis of Yamhill, were Sunday evening visitors at the O. W. Cobb home on th eir retu rn from the beach. FRI.
