STATE PARKS ARE
READIED FOR WINTER
Harris Beach and Azalea State
p a r k s , under the direction o f
Frank D. Stiles are being read
ied for winter.
Mr. Stiles said he is constantly
being reminded of evidences of
vandalism in the State Parks by
young people that evidently have
not had good fundamental train
ing at home.
He estim ates that forty to fifty
dollars a month of the taxpayers
money is used to work to correct
the results of vandalism.
Mr. Stiles and his helpers have
plans to make the State P a r k s
more beautiful and convenient for
the local people as well as th e
traveler. He comments that the
local people and organizations do
not use Azalea Park as much as
they might for picnics and get-to
gethers.
Travelers, especially those
from C anada, have made it known
that they consider this area on.
