Ritual Work. All Elks are urged

Ashland Lodge, and will bring
a message from the Grand Ex-
al t e d Ruler ’ They expect a
large attendance on this occas­
ion. A s n ac k will be served
after the meeting.
JR . LEAGUE
CHANGE MADE
The Junior leagues are be­
ginning to form now. This Sat-
u r d a y th e boys and girls will
come at the new tim e. The change
of t i m e is for the high school
b o y s and g irls, who will have
their league games in the m om -
This Saturday meetings will
be held for the boys and girls to
choose their officers and turn in
membership fees of 25v.
Those bringing 25< will be
placed on a team . These are
sponsored leagues and team s.
The new league tim es will be as
follows:
High School at 9:30 AM, 6th and
7th and 8th grades at 12:30 PM,
and Young Children (Bantams)
at 2:00 PM.
The Rotary has sponsored
th e intermediate and the Elks
•the Bantam league. The high
school teams a r e individually
sponsored. The group is still
accepting prize lists. Those that
have called in will be contacted
soon about the prizes.
All of the young bowlers are
asked to b e sure and come at
the new league tim e. The leagues
are filled at this tim e,but a new
instruction class will be started
soon. Those that have missed
these classes may turn in names
a n d th e y will be contacted for
instructions, or openings in the
league.
There are over 150 young­
ste rs signed up for three leagues.

GUEST SPEAKERS
Guest speaker for the m orn­
ing worship service of the Brook­
ings Church of Christ this Sun­
day will be Mr. L arry Tease of
Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Mr.
Tease, who is a native of Aus­
tra lia , will speak of the m iss­
ionary work that is being done
in Western Canada. This s e r ­
vice begins at 10:55 AM follow­
ing the Bible school period which
begins a t 10:00 o'clock. The
public is cordially invited.
Plans are under way for the
fall an d winter program of the
Church of C hrist. This special
series of activities will begin
w ith Rally Day services to be
h e ld October 6th. An all-out
effort is being made to have 100
people present in Bible school
that day. Further announcements
w ill be made later concerning
other fall and winter activities
o f th e c h u r c h that are being
planned.
The mid-week prayer m eet­
ing and Bible study that was d is­
continued d u r i n g the summer
months was resumed last week
and will be held each Thursday
evening at 7:30 o'clock.
All
services of the church are held
in the I.O .O .F. hall. Every­
one is invited.
