H ardly a day passes th a t th ere a re n ’t a n u m b e r of fish erm en on th e river, and m ost re p o rts are p re tty favorable. H eavy ca tc h es have been re ported off th e coast here, and th e fish seem to be in close and staying. So, all in all. fishing seem s to be th e m ost, so you’d bet te r dig out y o u r rod and reel, and go on down and catch y o u r share. Scout Building News Report By M IK E PA G E Well, last w e ek ’s p lans w ent kind of h ayw ire. B ecause of th e rain S a tu rd a y , no w ork w as done. But th ere w ere som e im prove m ents m ade. S ev eral, led by Ben Jones, got th e form s in on th e front of th e foundation, and also the six p iers m ade. Mr. G ribble donated th e co n c rete for th a t work, and poured th e piers and the rest of th e foundation. Also, we had th re e tru c k s h a u l ing gravel to finish th e fill inside the forms. T he city fu rn ish ed one truck, w ith M r. K an ick driving, Mr. B an k u s d o n ated th e gravel. Mr. W eeks leveled up th e front of the p ro p e rty w ith th e city grader, so th in g s look b e tte r a- round th e p ro ject.
