St. George’s Light Now Automatic The lig h th o u se a t S t. George's reef was unm anned last week. M em bers of the lig h th o u se crew w ere tak en off th e rock, a fte r the light was co n v erted to an au to m atic beacon. The ch an g e w as m ade because of the dan g ero u s location of the light. T ra n sfe r of personnel from boats to th e light has alw ays been a risky business.
