T he to ta l of c o n trib u te d m a te ri als w as risin g stead ily th is week, as plans w ere b ro u g h t into re a d i ness for th e a c tu a l co n stru ctio n to begin. E arl C. B row n, local co n tra cto r, notified th e co m m itte e M onday th a t he w ould open th e drivew ay into th e S cout b u ilding lot, p re viously d o n ated by W a rd King. Brown w ill open th e drivew ay as soon as su rv ey s a re com pleted show ing ju s t w h ere th e drivew ay should be. S outh C oast L u m b er Com pany, who will furnish, th e heavy tim bers for th e building, plan to be gin c u ttin g them as soon as th e building co m m ittee have signi fied th a t th ey a re re ad y for th e ir use. H eavy bolts for th e job have also been d o n ated by L ak e P le a s ant Plyw ood com pany, and P e t erson L u m b er C om pany will cut and d o n ate th e 3x12s to be used in th e building. A n u m b er of m ills and loggers have offered o th e r m a te ria ls, but they will not be listed u n til it is definitely d eterm in e d w h at is needed, and w hat each will give.
