We now have c h a p te rs at C rescent C ity, Calif., P o rt O rford, R ose burg, M edford and K lam ath Falls. All of these c h a p te rs are not too fa r aw ay for th e m em bers of the B rookings c h a p te r to a tte n d th eir an n u al shows. P o rtlan d ch a p te r again is playing host for the xorthwes* D istrict contest which w ill be held on N ovem ber 7, 1953. T ick ets will go on sale w’ithin a week. T he society is now 15 y ears old and we have over 700 c h a p te rs in h. U nited S ta te s and each vear s e which ch a p te r has th e best q u a rte t. T his y e a r in D etro it a chorus w as held fo r th e first tim e in th e h isto ry of th e o rganization and the C ascade c h a p te r chorus from E ugene, O regon won fourth place. This is so m eth in g o u r own c h a p te r can w ork for.
