And it w asn ’t too bad a season to r the boys. T hey won five gam es ou tsid e the league w hich don’t show in the standings, an d th e ir league record w a sn ’t too bad. T he B eavers won th ree and lost nine in second half play to sh are th e bottom ru n g of the league lad d er w ith M edford. B ut they w ere ra rely b eaten badly, and a little m ore stre n g th would have m ade a lot of difference in th e s ta n d ings.
