PRECAUTIONS
The activities of the Scouts at
Cam p McLoughlin were highlight
ed by Bobby Dimmick and Dick
Fadling being chosen for m em ber
ship in the O rder of the Arrow.
The purpose of the O rder of the
Arrow is to recognize Scouts and
Scouters who best exemplify the
Scout oath and law in their daily
lives, and by such recognition
cause o th er cam pers to conduct
them selves in such a m anner as
crystalize the Scout habit of help-
to w a rra n t recognition, and to
fulness into a life purpose of
leadership in unselfish service to
others.
I t is believed th at these two
boys are the first from Brookings
to be so honored, and we hope to
add to this m embership other
boys from the Scout troops in
this comm unity.

the Army training a great deal,

his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Berger.
Since Frenchy Arrell hasn’t
come home there is some conjec
ture as to why. A certain elem ent
feels that there is no doubt that
he is being detained by force to
bring about such a condition.
