They went as fa r as P ortland w ith M r. O atis S m ith by car, then journeyed by bus the rem ainder of the trip . They plan to visit La V aughn’s relatives in M ichigan before the camp opens June 30. A fte r tw o weeks of tra in in g , w hich is s im ila r to the conditions in the m edical corps, the boys w ill re tu rn . B oth were graduated this spring fro m B rookings-H arb or H ig h school. T w enty-one boys fro m this area w ill attend the N a tio n a l Boy Scout Jamboree w hich w ill be held in about tw o weeks in Southern C alifornia. Sixteen of these boys are in Troop 222 and five in Troop 32. H a rry Lyness, cashier at O re gon S tate Bank in Brookings, has gone to Seattle, where he w ill w o rk on his thesis fo r a m aster's degree.
