were assisted by eight mem bers
of the Crescent City Rockhounds
of Crescent City, Calif.
Mr. Charles Young acted as

the able assistance of Mrs. G er
trude C. Penn of Crescent City.
The following officers w ere elect
ed :
Tom Yokum, president: Mrs.

Floyd Young, secretary and tre a s
urer.
Also five m em bers w ere elect
ed to act as board of directors.
The third T hursday of each
month was chosen as the m eeting
date, the next m eeting to be April
16 at 8:00 p.m. at the VFW hall.
There were exhibits of gems
and m inerals from most p arts of
the world on display. These were
displayed by Rockhounds from
Brookings, H arbor and Crescent
City. These rare specimens have
up to now been hidden in some
garage, woodshed or attic, and
when all were combined made a
wonderful and interesting show*.
They should be a credit to this
