A dinner w as served at six o’clock w ith th e ev ening program open ing a t eig h t o’clock. Each of th e s ta te officers gave talk s on th e ir line of w ork and on G ran g e w o rk in general. In his ta lk . S ta te M aster Mc C lure said th a t th e m ost serious problem facing th e fa rm e r today is th e need to im prove public re lations w ith th e consum er. The fa rm er g ets th e credit for the high food p rices, but if facts w ere p resented to th e consum ers, they would see th a t re ta il prices they pay in th e sto re are m ade up m ostly of costs added to th e o r iginal p u rc h ase from th e farm er, and th a t in re a lity th e fa rm ers' sh are w as u su ally th e sm allest p art of th e cost.
