The Millers touched starting pitcher Jim Nierman for two in the first inning, both scoring after two strikeouts. A strong wind carried a high fly by left fielder Ray Stratton over Ki- mura’s head for a double, scoring Hal Teuns who had gotten to first when hit by the pitcher. Stratton tallied for an unearned run as catcher Dick Bishop’s ground ball went through Keith Johnson for the only error of the game.
