The stage was attractively decorated in red and white roses and greenery with 51 on a back ground of greenery at the back of stage. Preceding the exercises the graduates were treated to a 6 o’clock dinner at S. S. Castle- Rock dining room. This was a gift from the local P.-T. A. In attendance were Mr. and Mrs. John dstrom, Mr. and Mrt. Palm er Westbrook, Mr. and Mrs. Ar nold Samuelson and Harlaftd McDonald. Graduating were: Carolee Bar ker, Delores Barker, Nadine Lehmkuhl, Loise Loveland, Joan Miller, Della Mae Richardson, Don Howard, Jack Kimbrough, Harry March, William Richards, Jesse Sanderson, Pearl Saunders and Robert Stock. Thursday the seventh and the .eij^hth grades were taken to Gasquet where an enjoyable pic nic was held to close the school. Ronald McLish is putting on a special movie at the picture show Friday night at the Com munity hall. “Scudda Ho—Scud- da Hay” is for benefit of the lo- cal Girl Scouts to raise funds for the girls who wish to at- tend camp. Rev. and Mrs. P. C. Knudson left Sunda afternoon for Stock- i ton where they will attend the, annual California conference of the Methodist church to be held at the College of the Pacific on | June 12 to 17. Mrs. Agnes Westbrook and sister, Miss Ann Trembley, re-1 turned home Sunday from San Francisco where they were call- ed to the bedside of their father, E. F. Trembly, who is seriously ill at a hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hight ' have returned home from a ten day vacation about the Bay vi-■ cinity, Oakland ano Vallejo. They were accompanied home by the latter’s sister, Mrs. Etta Mc Williams, who will visit at the Hight home, and with her other sister, Mrs. Lester Ulrich. Plans are being made for the meeting of Del Norte County Federation of Womens Clubs to tx? held at S. S. Castle Rock on Wednesday, June 20 with lunch eon at noon.
