seniors and graduate students to
receive degrees at the 82nd annual
commencement exrcises at Oregon
State college June 4.
A record-breaking number of
218 advanced degrees will be
con fe r r e d by President A. L.
Strand. Of this number, 22 are
doctors of philosphy and seven
doctors of educt at ion another new
record in the number of doctor's
degrees conferred in one year.
A total of 1247 bachelors of
science and bachelors of arts de
grees, representing four full years
of study will also be conferred.
In additoin to the doctorates, ad
vanced degrees will include 135
masters of science, 12 masters of
arts. 33 masters of education, 3
masters of hom' economics, two
mast rs of forest ¡y and four pro
fessional engineering degrees.
Dr. Leonard Odiorne pastor of
the Westminster Presbyterian
church, will deliver the baccal
aureate sermon Sunday morning,
June 3. Alumni will return for
class reunions all day Saturday.
