BROOK INGS-H ARBOR PILOT, BROOKINGS, OREGON P age 7 e m Thursday, May 24, 1951 Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith and two children of Butte Falls, Jim Tungate and son, and Bud Tun-| gate of Medford, spent the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Payne and enjoyed the ocean fishing. On their return home they were accompanied by Jim ard Bud’s father, Jack Tun gate who will visit in the valley for a while. Gilman Duffy of the Oakland Naval hospital, spent Mother’s day week-end at the home of his parents, Mr. a n d Mrs. Alvin * Henry on the Winchuck. Another i local young man who recently enjoyed a short visit home was Fred Johnson, who has been tak ing his boot training at San Di- (go naval training station. Mrs. Charles Larson of Eureka is visiting her sister, Mrs. Roy Brimm on Pioneer Road. Miss Rose Baumgarten return ed Friday from a vacation trip to Portland. Mr. anti Mrs. Cliff Brimm have launched their boat at Upper I Summer Bridge, last Friday, and fished and camped for the night, coming down to the mouth Sun day evening. They had a good catch of fish and pleasant out ing, they toid friends. Mrs. James W. Carson spent । i Tuesday at Gold Beach. Mrs. Lillian Hart took Mrs. Jcnsie Sisk and daughter Shirley to Portland Monday where they ■i took the train for Lewiston, Id aho, where they accompanied rhe body of Mr. Sisk, killed here last Saturday. i There will be no music avail able for the old time dance at the Odd Fellows hall, Saturday, but t hi Queen’s ball will be held at the Grange hall. Mr. and Mrs. Jr. are parents ol a son, Michael Joseph, born at the Sacred Heart hospital, Eugene. Junior flew up1 to be w ith his wife, and reports । she and baby are doing well. Mr. and Mrs. H. Z.
