The cafe is one of the most attractive to be found anywhere in the county with its knotty pine paneling interior and large plate-glass windows. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kerr and family arrived home Sunday from Chehalis. Wash., where Friday, they attended the funeral ot a daughter, Mrs. Franklin, who died at Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Glen Hurst and her moth er, Mrs. M. Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Miller, accompanied August Johnson to Eugene last week-end, to see the U. of O. play, “Finean’s Rainbow,” given by the drama department of the Miss Glenna Hurst university. __ played the lead. On returning they brought their two i riding J T. horses by trailer. Mr. Johnson went to Salem to visit Mrs. John- son. Mr. Hurst was able to get away from his meat counter on Monday to attend the play, tak ing his sister, Mrs. Carol Roloif of Eureka. Mrs. Driskoll spent six days last week at Seaside Hospital, at Crescent City. Thursday, April 19, 1951 Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Freeman went to Eureka Sunday to at tend the wedding of Rosie Po- tocnick, of Harbor, to Alex FreU diana of Eureka. The American Legion Auxiliary appreciates the patronage ex tended at the rummage sale last Friday. A tidy sum was realized for philanthropic work. Rev. J. L. Mumbower left for Ukiah, Calif.. Monday, with Mrs. Mumbower who will continue to Modesto, home of her mother, for a short stay. James Richardson, realtor of Dayton, Oregon, and his brothers, Earl of Willamina and Clair ot Hissboro, were brief visitors in Brookings, Monday, en route to the valley from Eureka where they had gone on business.
