He won the Governor Patterson trophy for leadership and acheiv- ment. During 8 years of 4-H club work, Richard Larkin has com pleted a total of 25 projects in 1 the fields of livestock, crops, j health and woodworking. Since 1945 he has acted as leader f o r 1 7 4-H clubs. In l^lfiand 1947 hei was president of the senior 4-Hi club of Benton county. Among a long list of awards! which young Larkin has received, J be was champion sheep showman of the 1947 state fair. He placed J second as a sheep show man at the 1947 Pacific International in I Portland. He is now a freshman at Ore gon state college.
