Ed Ackley Reports On
Rotarv Convention. Tues.
3
Ed F. Ackley, delegate to the
Rotary International convention
at San Francisco last week, re
ported briefly on the convention
at the Tuesday luncheon of the
Brookings club.
“Rotarían« from 60 countries
were present, and although you
might have difficulty in under
standing some of them, they are
men of the same opinion serv
ice. The i948 convention will be
held at Rio deJaniero, Brazil.
"There were 15,000 at the con
vention, and to have properly
gotten all the good from this
convention it would have been
necessary for a club to have 30
or more present, as there was so
much going on all the tim e.”
