Following the business session a social time was enjoyed with ice cream and cookies being serv ed by bachelors of the Grange. Mr. and Mrs. William Buckner were hosts for a dinner party at noon at their home Saturday, hon oring Mrs. Mark Wood of Harbor who celebrated her birthday. The other guests were Mr. and Mrs. W arren Bailey, Mark Wood, B ar bara and Billie Buckner. ! Harbor School Notes THIRD GRADE Lois LaClair, Sharon A l l e n , B arbara Gould and Janet Crump were out o school Monday. Lois, Sharon and Janet were out again Tuesday, but Barbara came back. We have a new Weekly Reader for this week.. Those who have not been ab sent this year are Joan Darger. Gary Payne, M arjorie Moore, Dick Berger, Kenneth Tidder, Stephen Henry, Larry Myers. We are making up stories in language about anything we wish. These children had dirty hands this week: Gary, Pete, Pat, Clif ford. Those having dirty desks w’ere Gary, Pete, Joe, Bill, Gary and Virginia. — Vingitta Akers, reported. SECOND GRADE We made posters showing how to set a table for dinner. We are going to have a Christ mas play, and we made candles to decorate our room. Dixie Wolfe has entered our grade. She was here in the first grade last year. Group 2 has new readers. FIRST GRADE Charon Carr, W alter Craig and Billy Guthrie are the three first grade children who have been neither tardy nor absent this year. Our room won first prize in the membership contest for the P.-T. A. Anna Jean G ardiner brought in the most memberships.
