WHY IS IT? WHEN IS IT? WHERE IS IT? PURPOSE: The purpose of the FISH BILI^-Ballot Meas ure No. 312, is to SAVE OREGON STEELHEAD and SALMON (S.O.S.) and at the same time, to regulate fishing in coastal wa ters so as to preserve and protect fish life for future generations —and the benefit of all citizens. GOING! GOING! SOON ALL GONE!! Oregon once enjoyed great salmon and steelhead runs in almost every coastal stream, in addition to those of the Columbia River. Those of us interested in our fish-life resource have long been conscious of an ever decreasing supply of these fish. We have tried for many years to secure legislation to curb the ‘take’ of these fish, but due to the strong opposition presented by a few commercial fishermen and certain packers at each legis lature, we accomplished little or nothing until the 1941 session. READ STORY ON FRONT PAGE, PLEASE! Gain the facts about the future of the salmon and steel head fishing. It’s astounding—more than that, it’s simply horri fying to the average American. Do something—do it now! This advertisement was bought and paid for by the ENTIRE MEMBERSHIP OF THE Urges You To Vote; Vote (X) 312 Yes (Fish Bill) ave Oregon Salmon, Steelhead) ; d : Mrs. C. I.
