He is the only living Brook ings who was identified with the company a t the time of the build ing of Brookings and he is giving first hand and highly authentic inform ation concerning old mill days. Mrs. Hibbard has been in Correspondence with Mr. Brook ings since beginning her story and he has shown a keen interest in every detail of its progress. Mr. Brookings lives at Alexandria, Virginia. So When the book does appear it will give its readers facts th at are undisputed and they are told in a dram itic m anner with a distinct thread of interest ru n ning through its colorful pages. Births Announced Mr. and Mrs B irger Dahlstrom are the parents of a son born at the Knapp hospital a t Crescent City, July 27. The young man has been named John E verett Wilhelm, and weighed 6 lbs., 3 counces at birth. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Reagan are parents of an eight-pound, two counce son, born a t Knapp hos pital. Crescent City, Aug. 18. He has been named P eter William. This locality is now experienc ing its coldest period of the year.
