C. Brooks returned from Portland this week where she had been visiting her mother the past month Mr. and Mrs. Jim Crissey and family of Seattle are expected at the W. L. Recently Mr. Bates’ broth er, Lewellyn, and his family spent three days here with the Bates family, leaving last Thursday for their home at Medford. Dr. and Mrs. Paul Theobold of Oakland are enjoying a vaca tion at their river bank cottage, known as the Goddard place. This is a favorite swimming place for the neighborhood kids and is on the river bank below Harry Ro- her’s garage, with no road, but a good path going down the blu/T to the cottage. Mr. and Mrs. A.
