For Festival Flower Show. May 25th

Unusual interest is being shown in the .Azalea Fes-
tival which will be held Saturday, May 25. Hundreds
of flower-lovers, not only from all parts of Oregon
and California, but from all over the United states,
will come in quest of beauty.___________
O ther wild flowers besides the
gorgeous and frag ran t Azaleas
will greet the local floral guests.
The blue lupine w h i c h grows
te r * in deeper hues, the golden
poppy and the wild ms. violets
and wild straw berries which bor-
tier southwest Oregon highways
will add to the loveliness of the
Paciflc coast.
The dogwood, and the purple
wild lilac which enhance the shin-
ing green of the Smith River
Canyon make a beautiful ap-
proach on Highway 199. while
the Oregon Coast has j m m M

the gardens of Southern Oregon

Organizations. as well as indi
viduals. will show in a wide v an
ity of arrangements, their rare
and lovely blooms.
Smith River, which has some
of the oldest and most outstand- I
ing gardens, will be among the
displays and the Illinois Garden
Club of Cave City Junction, will
also add to the loveliness display-!
ed. Crescent City and Gold Beach
also will share the beauty of all |
their gardens. Individuals not af- j
filiated w i t h any organization
are urged to bnng their prize
garden flowers and help show
guests at the festival just what
they do m their flower gardens, i

Open to flower lovers of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Entries will be registered from 8:<X> a. m. until 10:00 a. m.
All horticultural specimen must be grown by the exhibitor.
Containers for horticultural specimen entries will be furnished.
No entries will be registered after 10:00 a. m.
All entries to be removed by 6:30 p. m.
Blue ribbon will be awarded in each class.
