I TIIU RSD A Y M A RC H 7, " ’ o o«qire to be served With Electric Power: Prior to further expansion of the present elec tric power service in this area it is necessary for all property owners to sign an easement for power lines right-of-way, by, through or on their property. According to state law, before construction can commence on a power line, an easement must be sign ed by the property o w n e r, permitting permanent placement of these line. Even though the poles of a power line do not actualv set on an individual's prop erty, the overhang from the cross-arms would be over private property, and the wire leading from a pole to a house or building would necessarily pass over privately-owned land. We had originally intended to let out the con struction for our projected expansion to a privtae con tractor, but because of the difficulty in obtaining the services of such contractor and the delay involved, we are forced to undertake this construction our selves. By our doing this construction, rather than a contractor, it will be necessary for us to secure the signing of these easements at once. Just as soon as you ifign these easements, work will begin on the staking of the lines, the setting of I'1-, etc., until all requests for electric power are tilled. It is suggested that, where the owner does not lye on the property, he be notified immediately and if possible send him an easement to sign. In this wav you will help speed up this expansion program, and fhe sooner everyone will have electricity. Easement blanks may be had bv calling at our our local Brookings-Harbor office, and B. L. Cleve land, our local manager, will give you any further information yon may want. We teel sure we will have your full co-operation in getting this job done. j Coos Electric Co-operative
