They’re regarded as lazy, entitled, whiny and overly concerned with “political correctness.” But, there’s no ignoring the fact that they are facing a much different world than the one their parents, mainly Baby Boomers, grew up in. With a college education almost unattainable without debt, or a wealthy upbringing, and housing crises across the nation, the idea of the “American Dream” seems out of reach for many. This is the premise of Greg Hemmings’ film The Millennial Dream. There will be a film screening of The Millennial Dream followed by an audience discussion with Hemmings and Eugene City Councilor Emily Semple from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, Dec. 7, at Bijou Art Cinema (492 E. 13th Avenue).
