As the weather’s getting colder and the rain’s coming back with a vengeance, it’s a great time to focus on creative hobbies. Here are some chances to flex your creative muscle this week and do some fall-themed arts and crafts! First off, check out a paint party — an event where you paint a themed painting with step-by-step instructions. The first of two paint parties taking place this week is from 6-8:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 19, at Starlight Lounge (830 Olive Street) and has the theme “Dead Head!” All art supplies and instructions will be provided to create a Day of the Dead sugar skull-esque painting. The second has the theme “Moon Cat” and takes place from 6-8:30 pm Thursday, Oct. 26, at Viking Braggot (520 Commercial Street, Unit F). Both paint parties are $35 each.
