Look no further than Children’s Celebration. “Children’s Celebration is a special day that is filled with fun activities, laughter and lasting memories,” says the program manager for special events and outdoor recreation, Kim Lyddane, in a press release. The kid-centric day offers hands-on activities from more than 55 community exhibitors like pony rides and inflatable obstacle courses as well as live entertainment, crafts and games. There will be food prepared by the Two50 youth center available. The event itself is also a fund — or rather food — raiser for FOOD for Lane County. “Last year 2,845 pounds of food was collected and donated to the local nonprofit food bank,” according to Children’s Celebration.
