L O W 51 In case you didn’t hear, the City of Eugene is putting on a “Movie in the Park” series throughout the summer months. Movies will be projected outdoors at a variety of parks in the area. The movies range from Star Wars: The Force Awakens (screened last Friday at Monroe Park) to Finding Dory (screening July 28 at State Street Park) and Hitchcock’s Rear Window (screening August 5 at University Park). This weekend, the musical fantasy Into the Woods, starring the always-wonderful Meryl Streep, will play at 9 pm Friday, July 21, at Churchill Park (2120 Bailey Hill Road). The next day, Saturday, July 22, the ’80s fantasy classic The NeverEnding Story will screen at 9 pm at Willakenzie Park (1725 Best Lane). So, bring a picnic and a blanket (but leave drugs, alcohol and pets at home) and get comfy with an outdoor movie. These movie screenings, along with every other movie in the park throughout the summer, are FREE.
