Among the many musical treats here in Eugene, the
Oregon Bach Festival always shines. This year’s OBF
includes the Punch Brothers with Gabriel Kahane, a
blend of bluegrass, classical, alternative rock and jazz;
a lecture from composer Sir James MacMillan; and
Cullen Vance, who will incorporate music, storytelling
and the children’s book Where the Wild Things Are
into his performance. The festival runs June 23
through July 10 at a handful of Eugene venues (with
a few performances in Portland), so check out the full
