THE EUGENE TOXICS BOARD is responsible
ALLY HORN FRAGA MASSAGE THERAPY
for policy development and oversight of the
City’s Toxics Right-to-Know Program, which
requires public reporting of hazardous sub-
stance use by local manufacturers. There
are two upcoming vacancies on the Toxics
Board which the City needs to fill: one
Industry position; and one Advocacy posi-
tion. For the Industry position, the appoin-
tee is required to be an employee or agent
of a business that reports hazardous sub-
stances under the program. For the
Advocacy position, the appointee is
required to have a demonstrable record of
advocating for the public’s right to know.
The term for the Industry position begins
immediately following appointment by the
City Council, and will expire on June 30,
2017. The term for the Advocacy position
begins on July 1, 2016, and will expire on
June 30, 2019, with the option to reapply
for a second three-year term. Applications
must be submitted by May 31, 2016.
