CALENDAR Abraham Lincoln’s legacy lives on 149 years after his death, and on Friday, you can see Stephen Spielberg’s interpretation of his life when the Springfi eld Museum sponsors a free viewing of the epic historical fi lm Lincoln at the Richard E. Wildish Community Theater. Featuring a haunt- ing performance from Academy Award-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th president of the United States, Spielberg’s fi lm is a brutally sincere look into some rather dark days of U.S. history. In conjunction with the fi lm, the Springfi eld Museum hosts Lincoln expert Richard Etulain giving his lecture, “Lessons from Lincoln: Is Political Bi- partisanship Possible?” on Aug. 8. Etulain will be available for questions after the presentation. The showing of Lincoln is 7pm Friday, Aug. 1, at the Wildish Theater, 630 Main St., Spfd. The lecture is 6:30pm Friday, Aug. 8, at the Springfi eld Museum, 590 Main St., Spfd.
