now there are locally made distilled spirits as

Sizzle Pie at 910 Willamette St. is
celebrating its first anniversary this week, says
general manager Brian Hebb. The business,
which also has several stores in Portland, is
celebrating “one year of downtown
revitalization and 365 consecutive days of
pizza partying,” Hebb says. “Over the past year,
we’ve seen businesses thrive around us, the
atmosphere improve on the downtown blocks
and citizens embrace their newly vibrant urban

The annual Visitor Information Celebration
focusing on tourism begins at 5:30 pm

Cycling for Veterans is planning the
Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway Veterans
Ride Saturday, June 28, and is looking for
volunteers and other support. The ride this year
is from Champoeg State Heritage Area south of
Newberg to Willamette Mission State Park north
of Kaiser, a distance of about 18 miles. Market
of Choice will donate drinks and food and the
city of Eugene will donate a van and two interns
to help. More food, more volunteers and some
shuttle pickups and drivers are needed.
